Grams Update, and Vacation
Last time I wrote I had just found out about my grandma being in the hospital. Well, it was a rollercoaster four days, but she did pass away on Tuesday. As hard as it is, I’m glad that she didn’t recover somewhat as she would not have wanted to live like that. She was ready to die, and she had a long life. I think my family dealt with this whole death in the best possible way, and that has a lot to do with all of the prayers said for us. Thank you.
At the same time as grandma was in the hospital, Tamara had a week of vacation, which was a good thing. We were able to visit her family up in Washington and go camping in addition to spending time with my family. I must say camping has never been something I wanted to do, but this last time was great. We went to a great campsite on the Clackamas River (towards Mt. Hood) that was really empty due to it being the middle of the week. We had a really relaxing time with nothing on the agenda except eating and reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Very good time, and I even am looking forward to the next time we go. By the way, if you like BBQ Sauce, definitely check out Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce, it’s really great. One night we grilled up some chicken with it and had some grilled potatoes and vegetables, amazing!
